map doesn't show the state in spaces for (state, country) in location field

It only shows the country in the link to click, but the map shows the state inside the country like normal. When I click the "united states" link, it shows everything in the US, but not everything in the state. I think it should connect with the state too when using (state, country) in the location field. To connect people who live in the same state.
