What is the javascript for the apps icon to appear in standard view?

When I click on the qrcode icon in the navigation menu, the content modules open up like normal while the page is in application view, but in standard view it doesn't open anything. How do I make it work in standard view? Here is the default javascript inside the "url" field inside the navigation menu item:
