    • I think SEO was very important years ago when people searched more to find what they needed but I think now it's probably just easier to advertise your site and app instead of hoping your site pops up near the top of search engines. The most famous social network apps are being found and installed via word of mouth and advertisements.

      • Well its about cost. SEO doesn't cost a thing, if you know how to do it. Pay perclicks and similar ways of advertisements, get costly quickly, believe it or not. SEO is a very powerful tool, even with todays sites. If it wasn't and useful, we wouldn't have sites out there that offer service to affectively make sites streamlined and easy to find anymore. There is still a very huge market for such services.

        • I wasn't thinking about pay per clicks. Was thinking more about just advertising on other social networks and word of mouth. If I Googled chat sites social networks I sincerely doubt any of our sites would ever reach top ten or even twenty.

          • Don't cut yourself short my friend. As a site becomes more active and content is in use, more pages within the site we own becomes a ranking higher up in the google ranks. It getting the site active enough as far as content, interaction and site use. Yes word of mouth and simple sharing does help. But does nothing in the SEO area.
