Hi, has anyone been able to set up Apple In-App payments while compiling your app? Apple doesn't accept my app submission since I only have Stripe.

Is there some instructions of how one can set up Apple payments in Una?

    • @Alex T⚜️ hi!

Can you please tell me if there's some at least basic instruction as to how one could set up apple pay on an Una app?

Having hard time understanding how I can build code to set up payment requests, how it works with Payments module API and how it will work considering that I also have Stripe..

I've created all Apple certificates and so on, now need to figure out how to set up the code. Couldn't find any instructions either here or on github/una

      • We started to integrate Apple In-App purchases into the app and into UNA, but the process isn't complete yet, so the functionality maybe be working or not. It requires some different approach in handling payment so we aren't sure that it fits well into UNA structure.

For now it's better to disable all payment in the app and allow to use payment on your site only to get your app approved by Apple.

If you still want to try to enable in-App purchases we can help with fixes if need, but it will take some time.

        • I had thought Apple was told they can no longer deny apps that don't use Apple Payment 🤔

          • thanks @Alex T⚜️

I've tried telling Apple support that I'm not going to use the app to charge users, only my webiste:

"well, I removed all membership informations from my website. Now users can't buy anything additional. Neither they can view information about additional memberships. Please let me know if it works now"

            this is their reply:

We noticed that your app includes or accesses paid digital content, services, or functionality by means other than in-app purchase, which is not appropriate for the App Store. Specifically:

            - The premium memberships can be purchased in the app using payment mechanisms other than in-app purchase.

            Next Steps

The paid digital content, services, or subscriptions included in or accessed by your app must be available for purchase using in-app purchase.

Apps that offer paid digital services and content across multiple platforms may allow customers to access the content they acquired outside the app as long as it is also available for purchase using in-app purchase. See Guideline 3.1.3(b) Multiplatform Services for more information.

If you have any additional information to provide regarding the digital content and services in your app and how the guidelines apply to them, please reply to this message in Resolution Center and let us know. If there is information you'd like us to consider in our review of future submissions, please feel free to include it in the App Review Information section of App Store Connect.

            • so looks like no matter what I do in the app, they still want me to implement Apple Pay since some parts of my website are only available to those users who paid and they don't want to allow me to use only Stripe.

              • Maybe they find it somewhere else, you can them to provide screenshot with the page where they can find such links so you can hide them as well.
