Well, the old logo was more beautiful, an eye-catching image from any size. This new one only makes sense when you zoom it (large size), then you will see the two connected user avatars inside. But its small size doesn't look that great. By the way, the idea of connection in the new logo is awesome. :)
Thank you! I would agree that the old one was a bit excessive. We'd like the logo to be more meaningly though, and communicate "unity" as the core brand value.
