WHY RENTAL MODULES?
There is at least 3 modules I am interested in. What puzzles me, is that I have to rent them, rather than buy them.
I don't like rental. I like to own what I pay for. In the long run, it is cheaper to buy, than to rent. If I rent a $50 module for 10 years, it would be $500. No module is worth paying $500+ for. I can hire a freelance coder from India to make a module for $100-$250 (prices there depend on several factors). So I don't understand the advantage of the rental. It would make more sense if the module could be bought for, say $100 but also be rented for a lower price per year.
I also need full control. I don't have full control with a rental agreement.
The reason why I would NOT use a freelance coder from India, is because I would like to support the UNA developers. The work they do is simply outstanding and deserves to be rewarded. Just not with a rental agreement...
When you buy a module you can use it indefinitely. The yearly fee is the access to support and updates. Very similar to most marketplaces.
Oooohhhhh.... awesome! Thank you!
Sorry, I got confused about it. Maybe I didn't read the description close enough.
Admittedly, we need to do a better job in explaining that on the Market.
Ahhh...I didn't understand this either. So there is only one payment unless we want or need support or updates?
Yes - that would be it.
I think the problem is that English is not the native language. I suspect it is Russian. Very sexy language.
"Price $50USD, including support and updates for one year. (The module will still work after the end of the year).
If you wish for continued support and updates, we charge $50 USD per year."
Maybe that is a better formulation.
