Comment to 'DSVGO and cookies, Europe'
  • The "cookie notice" is one of the things the EU has done.  Far worst is the new EU copyright law that will make it illegal for members to share memes and those cute kitty photos that don't belong to you.  There is also the "link tax" that affects linking to articles and sites on the net.  Look at directives 11 and 13.  I am so happy that I am not a site operator in any EU country as I can tell the EU to go ... themselves.  If you are a site outside of the EU, you do not have to comply with any of this nonesense.  Yes, FaceSucks and Twatter will and so it does affect users outside of the EU that uses those platforms.  I wish FaceSucks would have stood up and told the EU that they would just block any EU country from accessing FaceSuicks; if they had, then the EU would back down because the citizens of those coutnries would have been at their throats.  Gotta have my FaceSucks LOL.

If you are outside of the EU, then don't worry about this crap; it does not apply to you.

    • That is not 100% correct.

EU gets new ePrivacy In USA the Topic is called CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) in India it is Personal Data Protection Bill and in Brasilia it is the General Data Protection Law and Canada has PIPEDA. So, Privacy Protection goes global! It never stops and goes more difficult.
