You will need Nexus app to properly link all apps with your site. It comes with UNA10. without Nexus apps will likely have issues with headers, launchbar, etc. 

You can use the source code to review and do basic customisation and test compiles preparing it for the release when UNA10 is out. 

We wanted to bring the code to public scrutiny now to collect any feedback before it becomes fully functional with UNA10.
