Inviting the right person to a group

Ok I ran into an issue with inviting someone to a secret group. I went to invite the person and there were multiple people with the same name. So how do you know which person to invite and yes I got around it as the administrator but if you dont see more than just the name how can you verify that your inviting the right person?
