Do you know that UNA can resize images using ImagicMagick ? it looks like it gives better result. Default GD libabry just can't resize some images or crop them incorrectly. To do it you need to install php imagick extension:
and then disable the following option in Studio > System > General:

I'm thinking kids UNA again. A module where kids can draw a drawing as a post and share it on the network.
Kindergarden, Home, Parents. All connected. Maybe with a module ability to track the kids live and/or webcam at kindergarden so parents can see their kids at work.

Then my question comes up again. Can a series of UNA installations communicate with each other? Because that would open a new door...
May I ask, what the idea behind creating this module was?
By installing "UNA Connect" on site1 and installing "OAuth2" on site2, then configure them, you can login to site1 using credentials from site2.
This is a feature that has many applications. I need to sit and think this through.

Does this extension require php7? Does imagick work with 5.6? Does it require changing the .ini file?
It depends on the server's OS and installed software, on ubuntu 18.0.4 LTS (without any cPanels or Plesks) I just did this:
# apt-get install php-imagick
# service php7.2-fpm restart
