Width of Lucid template changed
I created an identical copy of the Lucid template so i can make changes, i just changed the template name from Lucid to Lucid2. I then changed the name on the upper left corner from ONLINE.ME to the name of my site. It worked fine, but after i began to click on different pages to make minor changes, i noticed the width of the template change from a nice wide look to a narrow look. ??
Need to make sure every file in the Lucid2 template folder reference the folder lucid2 not lucid. Make sure it's getting its styling from the correct template folder
Have to do it in your template folder via ftp and like notepad++ or some php editor. The links are referring to the original lucid folder and that's why the format is messed up.
Wow, that's probably a nightmare. Is there a way to install the original Lucid template back? I was trying but all I see is system, light mix and the Lucid2.
i think i figured out an easier way.. if you go to the copied version of Lucid > body > page width....u can change the width to your liking. If this is wrong, someone please advise. Jeremy 😃
You can freely style your site the way you want. No wrong way really as long it's not the original because it will get overwritten with updates.
But Will, did you make a copy of the file or did you just create a new mix?
Well, that's the only good way to go. So your changes will not be overwritten by an update. If the width is not respected after a change in "Mix" empty the caches, it should work.
Correct, but I did have to update the width in body for the site to enlarge.
Similar cases appear when you export mix, then the correct way to operate with it - make a new mix based on exported one. Then you may edit it as you want.
Seems that this should be a setting that can be changed from the ACP. Theme designers should make it easy to select a width and whether template should be responsive or not.
