Creating a category for organizations

Hello UNA team, i was wondering how can one create a new category for the organization module. So i don't confuse anyone, it's not to create a new organization, it's adding or creating a new category, thanks!

    • I would like to know how can i add or change categories to all mods/apps. Maybe this should be another milestone, just saying. :)

        • Hello Will!

          You need to go to Studio->Forms app->Data items area. Find there module "Organisations" and in the right select box - "Organisation categories". Then use the button "Add new item".

              • It may be that the category name "test" isn't allowed. Try a different name and that will let you know if there is a restriction on number of categories that can be created.

                    • Hi Baloo, when i go to keys and type any key word it shows English and Russian. I disabled Russian app, but it still shows up

                      • Hi Will, I think that unlike other modules it is not enough to disable a language to see it nowhere.

                        It is probably normal, if you disable Russian, then you make a lot of modification, then you reactivate Russian, it will be a nice mess.
                        So I think you really need to uninstall the Russian language to stop being questioned about it.

                        I do not think it's a bug, but probably Leonid can confirm that?

                            • Ok so i uninstalled the Russian language and now i'm able to create a category. It seems that there is a conflict creating a category when having more then one language enabled on the site.

                              • This is a bit wrong, Will. I could create a new category in your site when filled both languages translation (exactly like Baloo said before). But that's nice it is resolved now :-)

                                • LeonidS that setting that you changed to "0" effects creating an organization for admin level. I just changed it back to "1" cause i don't want any other membership to be able to create additional profiles or organization. Apparently that setting effects admin level to even create any profiles and organization. There should definitely be a separate setting for organization and another setting for admin and operator. That's a pretty poor feature to have, meaning if you enter "1" so that all levels can only create their primary account and no other accounts that it actually effects admin and operator. Now i'm stuck with my own admin account and i can't create any additional profiles nor any organization. If i set it back to "0" then every level can create multiple profiles and organization, if i set it to "1" then all levels can't create any profiles nor an organization. 

                                  • LeonidS I appreciate your help, but this should be addressed, so that it does not happen to others.

                                    • From your original task, we were talking only about the organizations. If you want to keep the creation of the profiles too only for the admin level then you need to back this option to "0" and then disable the action "Create Person's Profile" for all non-admin levels.

                                      • I just confirmed that if i have Russian language installed i can not create an organization, when i completely uninstall the Russian language i'm able to create an organization.

                                        • Well, I could create the new categories and organizations in your site before Russian language removal. But glad that it works now everywhere :-)

                                          • LeonidS don't you think it were to make sense to fix the issue now, this way in the future owners of sites won't have to wait for another update. Many of us including me are waiting for other languages to be available.

                                            • But Will, the problem here will always be, because when you create a field, or a category it's the same thing, you have to fill in the form for each installed language, otherwise it refuses to validate it, it seems normal to me that it works well.
                                              To create a field in English and to leave empty in the other installed lanes would not make sense ...
