UNA upgrade

Hello, I have a problem with the automatic update of UNA to the latest version. I was looking for some information in this forum but it is not entirely clear to me. How exactly do cron jobs need to be set up? At the moment, when I try to update to the latest version, the information appears 'Site will be upgraded within a minute' but unfortunately, even after a few minutes, nothing happens and no update. I also clean the cookies but it didn't help.

The second problem is that after updating EasyApache (from EasyApache3 to EasyApache4) an error appeared: Web Servel - FAIL

My web hosting says: all services on the server run normally , but this information appears in the Dashboard panel. How can you solve these problems? Please help.

    • I know it is a weekend but I need help in this matter. I see that the forum is active. Can I count on help?

      • More than likely, something isn't compatible causing web server fail. In regards to the upgrade, there are plenty of posts on here regarding the message will be upgraded within the minute. Talk to your webhost regarding setting  up cron jobs. They are not difficult to do.

        • Try to check server's audit - Studio > Host Tools > Server Audit, it will tell you more info about web-server and cron jobs ("Last cron jobs execution" should be within a minute from now):

          • Thanks for the answers. After entering the audit server I noticed first of all one problem:

            Web-server: Apache/2.4.34 (cPanel) OpenSSL/1.0.2o mod_bwlimited/1.4

            • rewrite_module  - FAIL (you will need to install rewrite_module for Apache)

            • When it comes to cron jobs, this command is now typed (sreenshot).

What should be done correctly in this situation so that I can update the UNA to the latest version?

              • I was able to update to the latest version. However, there were problems during the upgrade and my website not working right now, i get this info when I go to homepage (screenshot):

                • Forbidden error has been resolved but there are still a few other errors, please help how to repair. UNA also appeared in the footer, while I did not have it before.

Here are the errors I was able to see in the rror_log:

                  • Hello, are you sure all the modules are updated? You have nothing in Studio => apps => Updates?

                    • Unfortunately, after the update, problems started and only the homepage works. I can not enter the studio and dashboard now, and check the modules updates. Since there is an error wherever I go, I see error 404 (screenshot).

                      -----

I also received e-mails after updates that were successful, but I also have the latest e-mail that there was a problem with one module.:

The following errors appeared during modules upgrade:

Notifications module: Check module hash: Can't apply upgrade because too many files(28%) were modified in Notifications module

                      -----

How can I fix it? I reported problems to my support hosting but they responded to contact with local developer to recreate the pages again.

                      • Lucas

                        1. Please try to go directly to the following page (replace your-domain with your real values):

                        http://your-domain/studio/store.php?page=updates

And apply all available updates, it maybe you will need to refresh page several times since it maybe several updates for the same module.

                        2. Then go to http://your-domain/studio/settings.php and enable "Force auto-update, even if some files were modified" setting, then repeat step 1

                        • Thank you for the advice Alex T⚜️.

                          1. I tried this method and there is only one module required for updating, but there is a problem with it. The same information is still shown when I try to update:

Check module hash: Can't apply upgrade because too many files(28%) were modified in Notifications module

                          2.  And also all the time I had this option enabled: Force auto-update, even if some files were modified

Are there any other options to solve this problem? Unfortunately, only homepage and studio (admin panel) are currently working.

                          • Hello, I was able to fix most of the problems. The main problem remained with the addition of photos. Unfortunately, after adding photos you can not see them. The pictures are not showing. Permission is set well. What could be the reason? Please help.

And I also have a problem with update 'notifications' module: Check module hash: Can't apply upgrade because too many files(28%) were modified in Notifications module

                            How can i fix this?

                            • When "Force auto-update, even if some files were modified"  option is enabled it works only when less than 5% of files are modified. You need to increase it in inc/classes/BxDolInstallerUtils.php file, change the following string:

                              define('BX_FORCE_AUTOUPDATE_MAX_CHANGED_FILES_PERCENT', 0.05);

                              to

                              define('BX_FORCE_AUTOUPDATE_MAX_CHANGED_FILES_PERCENT', 0.5);

Then perform an update and change it back.

                              • Unfortunately, after adding photos you can not see them. The pictures are not showing. Permission is set well. What could be the reason?

Could you please provide link to your site with this problem?

                                • Thank you Alex T⚜️ , the 'Notifications' module was successfully updated after this change.

As for the lack of photos on my website, unfortunately I can't paste links here on forum posts, because unfortunately I get such a message:

Your current membership (Standard) doesn't allow you to 'Post links'.

So it's best if you visit my website at www . peoplearea . com  to see this problem (without space). You can see that the old photos don't load, as well as those newly added after the update.

For e.g. here:  www . peoplearea . com/page/view-album?id=3 (without space)

                                  • Hello, that's what I see at this address.

                                    gn6sspmfntmnrgrfx3turqdbxmsmht3z.png

The link of the photo is the following: http://peoplearea.com/page/view-album-media?id=9&context=album =>

                                    lf2nusfu9rggidyqbmgksykzrttyzbiw.png

                                    And on this page the link of the photo is: javascript: void (0);

so it is normal that it does not work, and that you do not have your photos, how did you do to get this result?

                                    • Hi Baloo, This is exactly how I see my website.  I don't know why this problem appeared. Everything worked normally before updating. What could be the reason for this error and how can it be fixed?

                                      • I suspect that you have too low memory limit to resize big images. Please try to upload smaller images or increase php memory limit up to 512Mb.

                                        • Another reason it maybe you have not properly configured webserver's rewrite rules since the following URL gives 404 page not found error:

                                          http://peoplearea.com/s/bx_persons_pictures_resized/awy7hthpzsfvb85tp6myqrqtxmlnbrbx.png

I suspect that you have some special rules for static files like png and as the result it isn't processed properly.

                                          • Hello Alex T⚜️ , I already have the correct value set in the .htaccess file:

                                            php_value memory_limit 512M

As for the correct setting of WebServer, in fact I see the information in dashboardand - the red circle - FAIL. I have written about it many times for my hosting support but they say everything is fine.

                                            After audit I see:

rewrite_module  - FAIL (you will need to install rewrite_module for Apache)

This fail appeared after updating on the server with EasyApache3 to EasyApache4 and it takes several days.  Can it have any effect on adding photos? How can I fix it? I would like to use the website normally. This is strange because I have not used any changes in the code before. It was just an update.

                                            • Hello again, I managed to solve the problem of loading photos. I replaced the original .htaccess file and now the photos load normally. There is only one more problem with WebServer Fail.

                                              After audit I see:

rewrite_module  - FAIL (you will need to install rewrite_module for Apache)

As far as I can see, this doesn't affect the website, but it's disturbing. Can I fix it somehow?

                                              • > rewrite_module  - FAIL (you will need to install rewrite_module for Apache)

If everything is functioning fine now then you can ignore this error, audit can't always correctly detect it.

                                                • Lucas, how did you get the upgrade to run?

                                                  • In most cases it should be done automatically, if not then go to:

                                                    1) Studio > Dashboard > click "update" to update UNA core

                                                    2) Studio > Apps Market > Updates > click "install" for all modules updates

                                                    • Hi Alex - in most cases you are correct.  However, I have not been able to get it going.  The upgrade package gets downloaded to tmp but upgrade did not happen. The cron is set correctly according to my host but the upgrade does not even start.. just said it would be done in a few minutes.. but nothing  happens.

How do I manually upgrade?  I don't see that info anywhere.

                                                      • Try to check logs/upgrade.log file for any errors for this upgrade patch, if there is nothing there then the problem is in crobjobs.
