Channels Questions

I am just starting to use channels in my 'Live' site and had a couple of questions. 

1. How can you see the followers of a Channel? I can see 'how many' are following from the main page but cannot see 'who' is following anywhere.

2. I created the channel myself but, I did not receive any notifications that 3 people followed my channel. All notifications are enabled. Any advise?

3. When I created the channel, The 'creator' should have automatically followed the channel they created. Can that be done? Currently, I had to go back to the main page and follow it myself.

    • These are the features typical for Groups. Channels are meant to be like a followable category linked to a hashtag. So, concepts like channel owner and specific list of followers are not particularly relevant. Just think about them as hashtags that can be followed. 

      • OK. I can understand the following part. I haven't tried it yet but now that I am following my own channel, I would think I would get a notification if someone else uses that hashtag anywhere AND if someone posts directly to the Channel's timeline that I follow, right?

              • Ok, just a hashtag that we can follow, so far it's simple. Not sure I understood, but it seems to me that you said in your  video Andrew Boon that it was better to use from the start. And I did not understand why. What is the problem if I install this module in two years?

                • Baloo if you install this module in a few years it will be empty, it will not add any previously added hashtags, only hashtags published after Channels modules is installed will appear in it.
