Spaces. How Do Users Add Content?

Question about Spaces.

This is the module/app I am most interested in learning about.

I figured out how it works, but I don’t understand what types of content users can post within a space.

For instance: I added posts, files and discussion apps to my demo site as that is my primary site content.

Within the space I just created, I see that the spaces menu lists posts, files or discussions.

When I click on one of them, it says “empty.”

However, I don’t have the option of posting, starting a discussion or uploading a file within this space so it no longer says empty.

The + sign in the top menu allows me to post, start a discussion or upload a file, but only to the site in general (not a space).

So my question is this: other than personal feed posts inside a space, can users add any other type of content to the space? If so, how?

Can't seem to figure this out.

TY.

    • Hello Jeff!

Most of your questions were answered here https://una.io/page/view-discussion?id=973

      • Thanks Leonid.

That was very helpful, but I still have the same question.

All I see is 'Post To Feed' in a space.

If "spaces can be used to hold any sort of content," how do I start a discussion, add an article, or upload a file to the SPACE?

There is no clear way to do it. I've clicked everywhere in the space I've created. All I see is "empty" with no button to click for new discussions, posts, file....

        TY.

        • If UNA site has the installed Spaces and the member has already own spaces or spaces where he already joined, then every "Add new" form (album, photo, group etc) in the "Visibility" (or "Privacy") field will have the "Spaces" variant sub-header with the list of available spaces.

The best way to use features of the Spaces app - post a content via the "Create Post (Context)" form. Just add it via Studio->Pages->Add new block area on any page and touch it :-) Like we have in our https://online.me homepage.
