"Database connect failed"

I get this Error message when attempting to install UNA

Have done this "$this->pdoExec("SET default_storage_engine=" . $this->_sStorageEngine); " but getting the same error messages!

Hello, the only time I had this error was when the password was not correct. Can you connect to your database with phpmyadmin or in ssh?

Thank you dear for the response. Yes I can connect to my database with phpmyadmin....any idea how I can fix this?

I do not think the problem comes from the script, something on your server definitely prevents the connection. maybe try to connect to this base in ssh with the user and password used for una, i think you will get an error that will put you on the track.

Thanks for your comment. I can connect to my database in SSH using Putty with no error. Anything I should check there?
