Video Module
I really like the UNA platform, but the fact that you can’t post video links like YouTube through the video module makes it really hard for me to move forward with my project. I think it is very important to have this option available. We can post links through updates but they do not show up under videos. They will eventually be lost in the feed. Is there anyway this can be added in a future update?

Hi Tim Burleigh - it seems like what you are talking about is more of a configuration issue, than a capability issue. You can easily embed YouTube videos using embedly, the video module is more for native videos.
I guess that you want your videos section to be a combination of both? If you could be clearer on your required spec, I'm sure we could find a workable solution...? -

yes, a combination of both in the video section is what I was hoping for.

Mark, he means like in dolphin. I am also interested in such a solution, but I already addressed the subject a long time ago, I remember when Alex had said later, a module will be dedicated. Me as our friend above, I would prefer the same module to avoid duplication.

I'm still waiting on a fix for the videos also. Been working on a new UNA site for over 5 months and haven't seen them working yet. TMD Hosting says they have tryed everything they can think of to do but they can't find any problems on there end.
I agree, adding embeds would be a big plus too. I know on my site most of the videos uploaded are music vids from You Tube.
Lastly, are the mobile apps still going to be included in the next update?

I getting the same response from TMD. I thought they were supposed to be an UNA preferred hosting service.

I agree. I went with TMD because it was recommended buy Boonex for UNA software. TMD is telling me that I need to contact UNA's support and request more information regarding how we could possibly resolve the transcoding issue.
I'm hoping someone from the UNA team will get with TMD Hosting and make clear what the proper server configuration is for running UNA.

If this doesn’t get resolved quickly I may have to consider using a different platform. If TMD is the preferred hosting provider, I don’t know another hosting service I could go to to get this resolved.

Same case for me on my website dolphin 99% of videos come from youtube and people like to make their album and make it visible on the profile. In a way, he exposes the musical taste of each one, very useful for me.

I think that the video embeds should allow embedding from any site, not just youtube. Not everyone uses youtube. I would like to see embeds being allowed from websites like Openload.co or Streamango.com. On Streamango, people can make money from their videos and members won't need to deal with the restrictions that youtubers need to deal with. For things like anime and movie sites.

I am able to embed videos from YouTube and other sites, but only when posting an update. I would like to be able to embed videos via the video module. Hopefully that will be available with the UNA 10 coming soon.

I would like this feature as well, But I would also like to have the option to disable the uploads and only allow embeds much like the Dolphin video module was able to do

Try these settings with TMD servers. Then clear-caches and browser caches.
Memory Can Be Updated in PHP.ini
max_execution_time 6000
max_file_uploads 20
max_input_nesting_level 64
max_input_time 6000
max_input_vars 10000
If you are on a shared server plan with TMD, you will be squirting tears... You video conversions will cause your resource usage to spike.
Good luck and thanks to the person who posted these settings awhile back.
