Jot Messenger
Trying to set up Jot Messenger, I have the server up and running I believe, but when i have the block up on my site, it shows connecting down at the bottom, and not sure if it is working correctly. My question is, there is nowhere in configuration that mentions server url so not sure what that is supposed to be.

If you did everything as described in documentation from above post, check please browser's console in developer tool to find errors. It may help to understand where is the problem.

Is the website running https:// ? If so JOT maybe running with http:// and this will make the connecting loop....

followed all instructions given and am still having some issues with it connecting.

when you run https, did you post the full path to your cert in the configuration?

I think I may see my issue, the certs are in /etc/ssl/certs and the key is in /etc/ssl/private so not sure how I would do that

make a symlink to the other dir

ok have done that still unable to connect. checking netstat I am seeing this line:
tcp6 0 0 :::5443 :::* LISTEN
So I am assuming that the port is open and listening

update, I believe I finally have it figured out....going on 5 minutes and no connecting loop. Thank you for all the help

About certificate paths, you may also define files paths with prefix for example:
{ "port":5443, "mode":"", "log":"log.log", "domains":["*"], "transformer":"sockjs", "root": "etc/ssl/", "cert": "certs/server69.modernblhost.com.crt", "key": "private/server69.modernblhost.com.crt", "OFFLINE":0, "ONLINE":1, "AWAY":2 }Let me know if you still have problems with Messenger, I will check.

Thank you for the update, I was actually finally able to get jot working properly. and it is working well...
