Gaps in my requirements
I've spent more than an hour checking out the capabilities of UNA against what I need. It can certainly do a heck of a lot that I need out of the box ("Pro" option). The things I can't see a way of doing are (1) webcasting - realtime video broadcast to my members (2) collaborative whiteboarding (3) running external apps on a screen space that I'm sharing with a member. I think everything else is possible.
Suggestions welcome ... or perhaps I need to talk to a support person?

Once you install UNA, you will see that wordpress is truly meant for bloggers not social networking communities. There's no comparison.

Peter 1. Realtime Video broadcast will be available very soon via Jitsi integration into UNA Messenger. You can get it right now using Rocket Chat. 2 & 3. If you gave us some more information on the requirement, we might be able to make a recommendation using existing capabilities.
