Can online payments on UNA platform be processed via Stripe.com online payment platform? If not, please consider it.

I searched for 'Stripe' payment platform and una.io  and found a reference to this post  https://una.io/page/view-discussion?id=2979  .  Does UNA have a  plug-in for the Stripe Payment platform?  

I'm not a techie so I don't know if a plug-in for the Stripe payment platform is doable.  

If I am not mistaken the Stripe payment platform can process WeChat, AliPay payments.  

 Correct me if I am wrong but I think I read that payments processing  solution  via stripe.com may be cheaper than processing your online payments via PayPal.

        • The problem is that stripe offers a wide range of solutions, including SOFORT the most popular solution for European banks as emphasized by Stripe.
          If I understand correctly, the UNA module is not compatible with all these solutions.

          Additional disadvantage, if you turn on Stripe, you disable Paypal, and Strip does not handle Paypal.

          • In the future it would be great if the UNA platform would offer a direct solution for integrating  WeChat Pay, AliPay, etc so we can do away with  this additional 3rd party online payment processors such as Stripe.com , this way site owners can have the lowest payment processing fee possible. 

            BTW, I don't much much about payment processing fees but from the little I have read, WeChat online payment processing fees are quite low.  However, I couldn't find the exact link from the WeChat site that explains their fees.

            • You might want to consider Chargebee - it handles subscriptions very well out of the box, relaying payments to Stripe, PayPal and many other gateways, including regional ones. Building on top of bare Stripe AND PayPal is much more complex than using something like Chargebee.

                About different payment methods in Stripe. Sometimes ago  we enabled AliPay for our account and as I remember it was mainly done via payment provider's account. Also I checked Stripe documentation and as I see different payment methods can be selected at checkout, which means that it's performed on Stripe end.

                About Stripe and PayPal in membership levels purchasing (Paid Levels app). As I remenber :) we already discussed this question in some discussion here. Stripe receives the priority because it allows to pay by subscription, which is more close to the idea of membership level. What's your suggestion in this case?
