Setting up new custom (own) domain name, using GoDaddy
My website is down after making some changes to try to customize the domain. Could someone help me verify I have my settings correct on my end?
I made this domain change about 6 hours prior to this post. I read it could take up to 24 hours to take effect and that may be all it is, but I want to make sure I am not waiting for something that may never come.
I have been setting up a new site and finally settled on a domain name last night. I was reading through the discussions and read where within the DNS Settings the 'A' needed to point to the IP Address. I have done that, seen in pic of settings below:
Within Una Site Settings I made the change to own domain as seen in this pic below:

Hello, every time I had to, it was pretty fast. You can track the spread in real time via this site. I believe that if you observe a partially positive result, there is a problem.

Thanks Baloo, I see 'A' is good, just the 'CNAME' is failing... I still have not found helpful documentation so I'm just trying a variety of combinations, no luck yet.

i had an account with go daddy still do but i had a problem like this in the past i asked customer support for help and it was done within the hour i could access everything prob best to ask them for assistance you may need the Right info like name servers and such

I reached out to GoDaddy, they say everything is correct for me to just wait 24-48hrs. So, I'm at a standstill until that time passes. That's like telling me to sit and watch grass grow... Or watch golf... It's inhumane. ;)

Just be patient. The site will be up for you once the propagation period is over

GoDaddy says they're done on their side, and I'm still down. They told me I need to change my nameserver information(?) and that I should get that from Una... but I don't see that being the case in the 'How-to' section.

The problem is that you didn't add subdomain for chat - chat.myhomestead.life, please add separate A record for chat subdomain pointing to the same IP as main site, or add CNAME the same way as you've had subdomain for www
After you've added chat subdomain change domain back as una.io subdomain (for example myhomestead.una.io & myhomestead-chat.una.io) then change back to myhomestead.life and chat.myhomestead.life

Alex T⚜️ I gave this another go yesterday. It's been over 24 hours and it is not working.
I do not know if my problem is with how I set it up in Una, or how I set it up in GoDaddy...GoDaddy is telling me to change the NameServers, but I have seen no mention of that in these discussions or on GitHub

For others that may use GoDaddy...
I have received different information each time I have chatted with their tech support. This time the support agent said to change my 'Name' settings to @ and Chat, while leaving the IP address in the 'Value.' So now we wait another 24-48 hours before we know if this will work. -
I think you can try after 1-2 hours. Only in very rare circumstances it can take longer.

Alex T⚜️ my site is still down after nearly 24 hours now, so there must be an issue.
I am going to change the domain settings back to Una's default to regain access, but GoDaddy says it is correct on their side now, and I do not see what else can be changed within the Una settings.
So I am at a standstill with this and unable to use my domain with my hosted una site.
