Why is it that the "Articles" and "Blog" modules in the market?
I need to mass mail my members, is this possible?

You can use Mailchimp integration module to send mass mail to your users using Mailchimp service.

That makes no sense.
Why can't the conversation module include "@all" or members that have not logged into the site in a month, things like that.
In the manage accounts screen there is the drop down to show "pending" and so on, why not add something to that?

Conversations module isn't supposed to be used for mass mail.
If Mailchimp module isn't sufficient, we'll try think of another solution for future versions.

Seems the mass mailer used Dolphin would be just fine, why not that?

When we receive more requests to add standalone mass-mailer we'll add this, or someone will create 3rd-party module for this.
