Site like Product Hunt

I have an idea for a site and just wondering if I can do it using UNA platform or not.

I want to create a site very similar to Product Hunt, where certain things can be upvotes and ranked and grouped with comments and reviews for that. 

Is this possible to do with UNA with no extra custom coding?

    • Yes, you can. Use Posts with upvot/downvote object, memberships like Creator, User, etc.,some restyling to make voting more prominent, add fields for product links inForms builder, etc. Ir should be pretty straightforward.

        How about a block that sorts the discussion post by votes?

        • Just sorting by votes might not be enough. Very quickly you’d have a few superstar discussions that will sit on top permanently and keep gaining votes. Sites like Product Hunt work out their “formula” based on combination of factors - votes within a period of time, weight of votes depending on user “reputation” , previous exposure, some boost for fresh-content discovery, etc. We use “Hot” feed for aggregating content using a basic “starter” formula, but you would need to think of your own secret source (And ideally not tell details about it in public forum).

            Is this formula something I can do without code... Remember I am a no-code entrepreneur 

            • The “formula” word is used as metapho, really. It’s a method of how you structure a database query for this particular browsing. It can be altered relatively easily in the code, but you do need to know what you are doing. If it’s going to be you main browsing page the query will affect site performance significantly and must be structured correctly. Some variables may be more resource intensive than others, too - so I would say it is best to coordinate this with us or with some other experienced developer. We can help though custom services.
