notifications to self

Hello, Can someone please tell me how to stop notifications from self to self? It seems that every time i post, comment or like I get a notification telling me that I posted. I already know that... :(

    • This probably due to creating a profile under your "original" admin account and by default, they both would follow each other.

Just imagine if a member created 4 profiles under their original one.. 3 of the accounts will get notified of the actions taken by that one. I am not a huge fan of members being able to "create a profile" for that reason but, I know some website owners DO want that.

      • Thanks for the reply Chris

I only have the one profile and that is my admin profile. Also I asked one of my moderators and she also see's them. In settings I have set to one profile per account for that reason you mentioned above..

        • Hey John Curtis - The only other thing I can think of is, do you have another  account (like a test account) that is using the same email address as your admin account?

If not, I know this was an issue back in August but I believe has since been resolved as it was happening to me back then too but not now. I would double check t make sure that you do not have any outstanding updates for any modules (i.e. Notifications). There are times that modules get updated multiple times and require you to go "back" into the updates section to continue downloading updates until the final version is installed.

          • I do have a couple test profiles but they both use different email address. I know of at least one other member that has only one account and she told me today that she is getting them also.

            • There were similar issue in the past - https://github.com/unaio/una/issues/2291 - but it not clear if it's the same, could you please specify for what particular actions you receive notifications for your own actions ?
