Redirect To Account Dasboard
Does anyone know if it is possible to configure members to redirect to the account dashboard after login? I think this would be a good way to have members see information you want them to see every time they login. I know this was available on the dolphin platform.

Isn't that what the custom page redirect field meant for?

No, that is redirect after a profile has been created.

You can change the settings on where you want them to land after activation. I should be home soon and will provide the path. I do know it's in settings

Right, it’s in Studio>Persons but I want members to be directed to the dashboard every time they login. This only directs them to a specified page after profile creation.

I think this was in dolphin, can't figure out where it is on UNA, I equally need it.
I left my homepage in public mode and run Feed Timeline on Profile page. So I want profile page as landing page.

Yes, it was available in dolphin. That is a great idea you have!

The dev team should add it to the developer module since the redirect after profile creation is there already.
Should be easy to add redirect after login.

You can do this to redirect to the dashboard:
In member.php file, find this line:
header('Location: ' . BX_DOL_URL_ROOT);
replace it with:
header('Location: ' . BX_DOL_URL_ROOT . BxDolPermalinks::getInstance()->permalink('page.php?i=dashboard'));

Not with UNA Cloud hosting. I wish I had known that in advance. The only adjustments I can make are through injections in ‘designer app’ or custom styles in the template.
I would like to set up some subdomains without purchasing additional hosting but I can’t do that either without access to CPanel. Not a good thing. I really think people should know this in adavance of purchasing a UNA Cloud Hosting plan Andrew Boon

Just to remind, that this website is our business platform, where we do not allow comments that dissuade our clients from using our services.
Specifically, there is a good reason for not providing access to files and SSH in UNA Cloud - as it is designed as a seamless solution for websites using unmodified version and configuring via Studio only. This helps to reduce installation errors, update issues and problems that result from unpredictable changes that webmasters can make via direct access to files. We are not a hosting company and we do not provide traditional hosting.

Actually after login user is always redirected to the page where user pressed login button, this is the reason we have no such setting. In rare cases when redirect page can't be determined, it's redirected to the homepage.
If this isn't desired behaviour and you want always redirect user to some page then you can edit login button in
Studio > Navigation > Items > Module: System > Set: Toolbar Member > edit "Log in" menu item
And change login URL to:
page.php?i=login&relocate=https://example.com/page/dashboard
Change https://example.com/page/dashboard to your own.

Hey Tim Burleigh , Did that work for you? I'm asking because I made this change, cleared cache and still brought to the homepage after login.

Yes and no! If you login from the login button on the homepage cover it takes you to the homepage. if you login from the member icon at the top right of the homepage it takes you to the dashboard.
I have my splash page disabled so I’m not sure where it would take you logging in from there. I disabled the splash page because on the smaller iPhones it doesn’t adjust to fit the phone. It is too big.

If you are using splash page and there are links to login form from Splash screen then you need to change links on the splash page using similar way.

I disabled the splash page because on the smaller iPhones it is too large and does not resize to fit the phone. Is there a place to add a link for the login button on the homepage cover?

Yes, edit '_sys_txt_homepage_cover' language key and change
<button class="bx-btn bx-hide-when-logged-in bx-def-margin-top" onclick="document.location='{0}'">Join Now!</button>
to
<button class="bx-btn bx-hide-when-logged-in bx-def-margin-top" onclick="document.location='https://example.com/page/login?relocate=https://example.com/page/dashboard'">Join Now!</button>
Change example.com to your own domain.

Sometimes in life you can sit in front of a problem and just can't figure out the solution, smash your head on it, punch it, kick it, etc..... nothing can fix the problem, so why not just cover it up, or in this case disable the freaking link and enable or leave the other option visible to visitors/members. Maybe that annoying link will realize that it was disabled for being a pain in the butt....lol

John Curtis add the code in Polygot

Alex T⚜️ . I thought I was making the change you posted above to the splash page login button but still the login from the splash page brings me to the homepage. As Tim Burleigh mentioned above if I use the member menu to login it will bring me to the dashboard but when I click the login button to login it brings me to the homepage.
Does this need to be done in Designer => Splash? If so could you help me out?

Hey Tim Burleigh . I also added the code to Polygot but it didn't change the login from the splash page. With the splash enabled it still brings me to the homapage. I think it needs to be added to "Designer => Splash" for it to affect the login from splash page. In "designer => splash" under /*--- Slide 4 ---*/. I see the login and join now buttons there.
<a class="bx-def-padding-sec-topbottom bx-def-font-h3 bx-def-font-normal" href="__join_link__"><bx_text:_sys_txt_splash_btn_join /></a>
</div>
<div class="bx-spl-join bx-def-margin-topbottom bx-def-border bx-def-round-corners">
<a class="bx-def-padding-sec-topbottom bx-def-font-h3 bx-def-font-normal" href="__login_link__"><bx_text:_adm_page_cpt_login /></a>

lol I have slept since I changed it. Working now and can’t look at right now. Let me know if you figure it out. If not, I will take a look to see what I did. I do know I revised the code in Polygot to change the join/login button on the cover.
-
- · John Curtis
- ·
And that changed the destination to account dashboard when logging in from the splash page?
-
John Curtis in this case you need to change
... <a class="bx-def-padding-sec-topbottom bx-def-font-h3 bx-def-font-normal" href="__login_link__"><bx_text:_adm_page_cpt_login /></a> ...
to:
... <a class="bx-def-padding-sec-topbottom bx-def-font-h3 bx-def-font-normal" href="https://example.com/page/login?relocate=https://example.com/page/dashboard"><bx_text:_adm_page_cpt_login /></a> ...
Just change example.com to your domain.

Can you please refresh my memory on the page to add this code? Was it "
Edit "_sys_txt_homepage_cover"?
-
I've answered to your post where you siad that it's "designer => splash", however it's old splash code, new splash don't have separate links to login form.

Change example.com to your site url
