Opposite Sex Filter for profile content

Is there a filter or code of some sort that filters the sex of profiles shown to only show the users preferred sex when viewing persons and timeline so if a woman is seeking men, she does not see other women's profiles and if men are seeking women then don't see other men's profiles?  Can this be accomplished?  

I know that is accomplished through "search"  but when users are in public areas, they see other profiles that they don't necessarily want to see...I've noticed while doing research on other sites, that when I am logged in and have my setting set to man looking for women, I only see women profiles throughout the site unless I do a specific search otherwise.
