APP STORE REJECTED APP!

Andrew Boon Mark P Leonid S Alex T⚜️ Expertzkris

Can someone please explain how to work around this and get these items sorted. Apple rejected my app. Android, on the other hand, is fine.

  • I have been having same issues - been trying to launch on iOS for three months. I have to now create a company registered to my local government so I can send as a organizaiton and not personal

I think that ACC is having a different issue than you Harry.

          • 5.1.1 It's pretty straightforward, just do what they are suggesting. Actually we already have description, but it's too general, you need to describe it in more details

4.0 you did something wrong with the rebranding, URLs should be opened inside the app, so it shouldn't be an issue if proper renaming was performed

4.8 I would suggest to remove alternative login options to get app approved. Also please provide link which is in Apple recommendations, so we'll have a look how to implement login with Apple.

              • Hello, I had same issue with my app using phpfox and later discovered it was because 3rdparty login providers you must disable login with facebook and any other besides your core code. Hope this helps, I got approved the same day when I did it.

                • I did that and that issue went away.  But have other issues now

                  • Hello ACC !

May you please specify the other issues list?

                      From Apple

                      2. 1 Performance: App Completeness

                      4. Design: Preamble

                      5. 1.1 Legal: Privacy - Data Collection and Storage

                      Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed

We have started the review of your app, but we are not able to continue because we need additional information about your app.

                      Next Steps

To help us proceed with the review of your app, please provide detailed information to the following questions. The more information you can provide upfront, the sooner we can complete your review.

                      - Per our previous conversation, we understand from what you are saying that the points cannot be purchased. But can those be monetized?

Once you reply to this message in Resolution Center with the requested information, we can proceed with your review.

                      Guideline 4.0 - Design

We noticed that the user is taken to Safari to sign in or register for an account, which provides a poor user experience.

                      Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please revise your app to enable users to sign in or register for an account in the app.

We recommend implementing the Safari View Controller API to display web content within your app. The Safari View Controller allows the display of a URL and inspection of the certificate from an embedded browser in an app so that customers can verify the webpage URL and SSL certificate to confirm they are entering their sign in credentials into a legitimate page.

                      Resources

For additional information on the Safari View Controller API, please review the What's New in Safari webpage.

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage

We noticed that your app requests the user’s consent to access their camera but still does not clarify the use of the camera in the applicable purpose string.

                      Next Steps

Please revise the relevant purpose string in your app’s Info.plist file to specify why the app is requesting access to the user's camera. You can modify your app's Info.plist file using the property list editor in Xcode.

To help users understand why your app is requesting access to their personal data, all permission request alerts in your app should specify how your app will use the requested feature.

                      Resources

For additional information and instructions on requesting permission, please review the Requesting Permission section of the iOS Human Interface Guidelines and the Information Property List Key Reference. You may also want to review the Technical Q&A QA1937: Resolving the Privacy-Sensitive Data App Rejection page for details on how to provide a usage description for permission request alerts.

Please see attached screenshot for details.

                        • 2.1 It's not related to our app, you just need to answer what they ask.

                          4. In our app join page is opened inside the app, not in the separate window, please make sure that you are using correct and consistent domain for your app everywhere, since if URL is different from the specified then it opens in new safari window.

5.1.1 You just need to do exactly what they ask - modify Info.plist and specify your camera usage, default description is too generic.
