reducing cover image size
I saw previous posts on this but none works on my site. How can I reduce cover image size? It is too tall.

you need to go to protan template in studio and then make a new mix name it what ever or copy the look and feel of the original the original defalt protan templates cant be edited then go to custom styles and replace the 1st section with this code all within studio protan your new mix custom styles and replace the 1st section of code with
.bx-base-pofile-cover-image { height: 16rem; }
replace it till you get to this part { height 32rem } or so on after that publish the new mix go to your website scroll down to footer click designer then your new mix go to profiles and org profiles you will see the change im sorry i cant be more help than that i have no access to my site right now Baloo ACC plz help

I am using Lucid theme - tried several alternatives starting with .bc-base, none worked

Try this:
.bx-base-pofile-cover-image { height: 20rem !important; }
-
Now it works, thank Baloo

I made a post about this before awhile ago. I don't know why UNA never fixed it to a decent size. You shouldn't have to scroll down on a long cover. It makes the profile template look like it has sizing issues

The current implementation is based on the preference of preserving the aspect ratio, which means that on mobiles the cover with these proportions is barely tall enough to be visually relevant and still have space for profile image. We do have a better solution in works as well though - a configurable height cover with in-situ repositioning tool for users, which would allow for non-persistent aspect ratio since users can reposition the cover image to make sure significant image elements are visible.

Personally I find the idea of going down very good, maybe going down smoothly with a transition of a second would be even more user-friendly and would remove the idea of a bug as said above?

I agree. If you could suggest some kind of example we could work off, it’d be great.

I was thinking of something like this ...
-
So, half a second delay and then eased scroll up over another second span. Will try that. Thank you.

The idea is to decompose, 1. Visual 2. Reading without clicking. If I like what I saw briefly I go back up, if I didn't like I continue down. Now you understand why I like this idea of a waterline, the large covers are well suited to my site. I also understand those who appreciate less because it is less important. You, you always have the difficulty of the best compromise to find and at the same time think of everything.

Try this:
.bx-base-pofile-cover-image { height: 20rem !important; }
Tried this and worked very well! Thank you Baloo.
