          • I have successfully added the fields but when I make a post it’s not showing up either. I will try a little longer but I have to go to bed soom. It’s 1 AM here and I get up at 6.

              • I’m going to have to call it a night. I will check back tomorrow to see if you have received an answer from anyone else. I’m curious myself anyway. I’ll look into it more later.

                  • Did you try view actions? If fields are not enabled as a field action they may not show

                    • When adding fields to a module you got to do the add post field screen and then they should show in all others. Then you need to go to the edit and view displays and enable it in there after. I noticed with posts I had to watch how I organized my fields. Right now my post box is over my body/description box, because its the only way it would notice the fields. All other modules, I didn't have this problem.  Id show an example, but with my timeline issue my fields are all disabled in Posts :P It works though I use it myself in all my modules 🙂

                        • I misread that. I have not tried altering anything with the timeline in terms of extra fields. I thought it was posts in general. That may require some more extensive editing in other areas based on how the timeline works. I shouldn't have read this until I drank my coffee

                            • Hello everybody!

                              The mentioned problem has the solution only via customization the related files:

                              modules/boonex/timeline/template/type_post.html

                              and

                              modules/boonex/timeline/classes/BxTimelineTemplate.php

                              The first one should have new variables like __city__ and the second should have the processing of this variable in the method protected function _getPost($sType, $aEvent, $aBrowseParams = array())

                              It will look like the addon after 'comments' => '',: line:

                              'comments' => '',

                              'city' => $aEvent['city_or other new field name'].

                              BUT in this case, you will lose the automatic update of the timeline module. And always have the backup of all changed files.

                                • Can you show an example of adding a new var to

                                  modules/boonex/timeline/template/type_post.html

                                    Not logged in users can't 'Comments Post'.
