Is there any plan to link photo and albums and image uploads

Is there any plans in future to add a storage of sorts where we can share photos between photos and albums for example and link photos to include uploaded photos to time line etc. Are there any third party apps people have tried that made this possible?

Yes, there is a plan for a media browser that pulls together media from different modules and makes them available for reuse in other module while uploading or editing content.

That will be awesome. This is one thing I know in my case is always the number one question.
