Files

Everytime I try to install the Files module from market, it just sits there while the little icon rotates, any ideas?

    • You mean you can't install it, the wheel keeps spinning?

      • Ya it just sits there spins, but no install. I've even tried it on other pages of market, still no download. It's the only module that is doing this.

        • Have you tried going to Studio --> Dashboard and Clear all cache? Try that, if not, go to Studio -->Settings --> Cache and try disabling these and try again

          Enable cache for CSS files
          Enable cache for JS files
Enable lessening for CSS files (cache should be enabled)
Enable lessening for JS files (cache should be enabled)
Enable compression for JS/CSS files(cache should be enabled)
          • I'll try here shortly, thanks.

            • Well I've done everything I can, but still no download. Any ideas?

              • So I have tried and tried to get Files module to download from UNA market. Its the only one that has given me grief? I have installed and downloaded around 40 others and they all installed and downloaded without a problem whatsoever.

But for some weird reason when I try to download "Files Module" from UNA Market, all i get is the UNA logo, spinning, no matter how long I wait. I have tried to even download from other areas of Market, still it does the same thing. I click download and it just spins the UNA icon.

I'm not sure why this module is the ONLY one that does this to me???

                • I've done these, still no go... 😶

                  • I had the same issue with the Files module which I purchased this morning, but it seemed to finally resolve itself and the module downloaded. However, I am not sure whether the download was done correctly, as I am seeing some weird "Token expired" errors when trying to upload files.

Has anyone experienced any issues with the Files module before?

                    • Hello GondarMD !

Please specify - do you get those errors regularly or not? If not always then plz specify the sizes of uploaded files during those moments.

                      • Hi LeonidS:

                        1. Initially experienced the issue with files of varying sizes, e.g. 2 files of size 163KB and 24KB, but also with a file of size 2310KB. So it does not appear to be entirely related to file size.

                        2. I manually downloaded the Files module again from github, and reinstalled it. I was then able to upload files successfully (including the file above of size 2310 KB).

                        3. However, the uploads only seem to work correctly if using the "page/create-file"  page on the site. I added a "Upload files" block to the "View Spaces" page (page/view-space-profile). I am getting the same issue of "Token Expired" errors when attempting the upload using this new "Upload Files" block on page/view-space-profile, with the same set of files as indicated above (i.e. on both small and larger files).

                        • 1. Ok.

                          2. Not a good idea, the most reliable way is via Apps Market.

                          3. There is no big sense to insert the Upload file block to the Space View page because it will make a submit based on profile's data and will not "bound" the uploaded file to the current space if you want to have this effect.

LeonidS  I'm having the same problem with 'Files' module. I've not been able to install it on many occassions. finally, I decided to use phpMyAdmin to run the SQL script of 'Install.sql' and 'enable.sql' files.
running the 'Install.sql' script gives a repeated Warning: #1681 Integer display width is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. [this does not prevent the syntactic form running successfully]
on the other hand, when running the 'enable.sql' syntax I get the following error which prevents successful completion of the query:

                            INSERT INTO `sys_acl_matrix` (`IDLevel`, `IDAction`) VALUES

                            -- entry create

                            MySQL said: Documentation

#1062 - Duplicate entry '3-120' for key 'PRIMARY'

                            • This part looks like you already installed Files before. You need to check those records (3-120) to check what is there. As suggestion you may try to run disable.sql first and then - enable.sql again.
