Seems Buggy

I never understood why they stopped developing Boonex Dolphin it was a lot more stable then this crap.

UNA is full of bugs, when uploading profile photo it does not update on the profile. Struggling to find how to add a category to discussions. Menu items can be glitchy too. And the icing on the cake is the updates are all backwards, you update plugins first knowing full well UNA will not install them until the new version of UNA comes out.

Due to this we will be moving away from UNA. We like the concept but still has a long way to go.

    • Well - I am not a tech guy but I have had good success with it so far. Some minor annoyances but I suspect over time those will be addressed. All told it is a decent system and worth giving a good try.

      • Ya the whole discussion thing I'm a little confused on to. Its nothing like a forums. Which could and will confuse people. Forums have been around for many, many years. It's like the old saying goes. "If its not broke don't try to fix it. I don't like how its difficult to set up and adding a discussion is rather difficult.

        • Sure there is always room for something new, but try to maintain a structure, is all I am saying. There was nothing wrong with dolphin structure and forums at all. I don't know why it simply was not carred over to UNA.

          • We found the issue with profile photos was due to the developer app, an app they suggested to download to access the newly updated apps at the time.

            • I have to agree with you. I miss Boonex Dolphin RIP

              • I think the move was made so monthly payments yearly/monthly for core prem modules, servers, and other services. I  know the code is different. I did like Dolphin for some site but the ease of UNA and the look.

Some site users of Dolphin found it "too" technical lol.

I miss the themes and ability of members to make their pages personal.
