Great Idea

I have a great idea! Wouldn’t it be awesome if when you click the link in an email notification that it takes you to the post in the UNA app or on the UNA website that the notification refers to? I think this would be so awesome! It would be much better than searching when the notification takes you to the home page of the website or the app to figure out what the notification referred to.

    • Yes, i totally agree. Tim Burleigh , I really don't understand why it doen't work that way already.

      • Yep me too

        • I don’t pay attention to most of the notifications anymore because it’s too frustrating to track them down.

          • Me too, I dont bother checking as well

            • Tim, as you can see, I am just a lowly raccoon. One who seldom comes out except after dark. Yet I am very sly and cunning. So sly that my Creator gave me a mask. Viruses pose no problem for me...

Your idea is very clever even by my high standards. So clever somebody could put a tail on it and call it a weasel. Oh, never mind that...

Other discussion and social media software have the feature which you recommend. It's an efficient, time-saving idea. Glad you brought it up because the programmers behind UNA could implement it very fast if they wanted too - just as they have already done in several modules.

OK, I've got to get back to bed now, here in a hollow tree deep in the quiet mountains of Appalachia. Take care.

              • Alex T⚜️ , Maybe this can be an option in future updates?

                • i went into the settings on my profile and adjusted the notifications so i only get a few on site, and the rest are denied.  because i know what my useage metric looks like and dont want extra data in my email..

but yes..   it would be a nice inclusion.  makes me wonder if having the links in the email counts legally as "solicitating or advertising improvements" versus simply notifying.  i havent read the cann spam act in years...  worth looking into..

                  • Indeed Tim Burleigh - it's a good suggestion, overlooked on our behalf and needs attention - that's for the feedback, we will review.

                    • You’re a very funny guy! LOL it works fine on my site but just not here on the main UNA site or app

                      • This a huge PAIN POINT especially if you have a custom app.

Users get notified via email. They click the link and it takes them to the site and not your APP. Like most apps it should ask. Open in browser or app. Is this doable Mark P

                        • Yes, needs to be fixed.

                          • Mark please do this one asap. Let's not wait for a major update for this one.

It is a simple usability feature that would pay big dividends to site users.
