Load More Button only loads once

Honestly I think the load more button should disappear and stories load automatically as a person scrolls through the feed. Not sure why I have to hit "Load More" to keep seeing my feed. In my opinion, it should automatically load as the user scrolls.

Remember, users are lazy...

  • Also, the "Load More" button only works once, then it doesn't load anything after that.
    • First time, I scroll to the load more button and hit it to see more.
      • The button spins a second and loads more of the feed.
    • Second time, I scroll till it gives me that option and I hit "Load More" again and nothing happens.

As I stated above...it would be nice to just have the feed keep continuing as I scroll automatically. Or at least give me the option of one or the other.

    • There is a footer on the site which should be seen when page is scrolled to the bottom, also it maybe some blocks under timeline. With infinite scroll, scroll and other blocks become unreachable.

      • That still doesn't solve the "Load Button" issue though...
With the blocks, if you had infinite scroll with the Posts Feeds, you could easily then design the web version around the infinite scroll...

AKA make the "Footer" a Block Module. The footer block could then be it's own block and put wherever on the page according to which layout I chose. Thus eliminating the need for the footer and allowing for infinite scroll.
If you look at the pic, you can see that Facebook has blocks also and the infinite scroll is in the middle with the "footer" to the right.
The only place this would not work to well is the site when it reduces down on mobile. That's why I still think there needs to be a native App developed for the site...I know it's responsive...but sometimes responsive doesn't work well with all the blocks on mobile...

        • It would probably good idea for some custom template.
