Imbedly and Iframely
Hi,
I may misunderstand how these work, but we use imbedly on our site, and it usually works great. Unfortunately, their API is down today, and there hasn't been an update for 12 hours or so. I tried signing up for iframely, removing the imbedly code from Settings, and adding the iframely code, but shared links still aren't loading properly. I've cleared the cache as well. I checked the source code of our pages, and I don't see anything loading for iframely, whereas I do see js files for imbedly. I assumed it would automatically once I switched. Am I way off on this? Thanks!

did you put the embed.js code from iframely in your design header under injections? :) (along with your API key in that script blurb ) ?

Almost positive I did, although I think I added it to the body. I'll check that. Thanks!

Omar Amer , can you explain? I just made new account at iframely , I have my API so now what? I thought that it is enough to just put the API Key in the site settings? What do I have to put in injection? Where do I get embed.js code?

So could this be why embedded content is not showing up right now on site? All posts with embedded content done with the insert feature is not postable and is not showing up that has already been posted.

Never mind Omar, I already found it.
<script async charset="utf-8"
src="//cdn.iframe.ly/embed.js?api_key=......."
></script>
Still, I didn't know that I must put that to injection part. I never did it for embedly and was working OK.

well i havent looked at the source code but my feeling is embedly was probably integrated into text area a bit better and various buttons, but what im planning on doing is altering soon my text area and tinymce , in such a way that all urls are urlencoded and sent to iframely to be rendered in a post. versus having to add via the link button. which isnt present in the post editor but is present in the timeline post editor form. also i have a lot of folks that just paste urls into the text area, so im working on tackling that aspect as well .

I wonder, did you ever solve this problem of getting iframely when people are pasting URLs into the text area?
