If it's " Access Denied" then hide it from the person.
If someone shares to friends, their posts, profiles, etc are still visible publicly and then when someone clicks on it
"Access Denied: this is private content"
"Access Denied: this is private content"

If I see this somewhere on someone's site then it's
"Access Denied? This site is stupid I'm leaving this site"

Does anybody have a code snippet to globally hide all private content from the user who the content is supposed to be hidden from?

In this case, the users without enough rights to look at content will not know about it and will miss any stimulus to improve it.

Yeah, but the person can't upgrade to become a friend of the person who sees the access denied, so they will never see the content. It can't work as a stimulus in the case where people are posting only to friends. It only creates bad news for the members.
