2FA Setup
I have setup the 2FA using Twilio however how is it to send an SMS to someone if they do not have a field to even put their phone number in? How is this suppose to work with UNA?

Hello Michael Farrington !
If you enable 2FA and set the "phone" option for the confirmation too (Studio->Settings->Account) then the field about the phone will appear on the account creation form as the second step.

Does that force compliance? In other words is 2FA forced or is that optional?
-
Ok I tried to setup my phone number for my profile and entered +19999999999 where the nines were my actual number and I got this -- ERROR OCCURRED, PLEASE REPORT ERROR TO SITE ADMINISTRATOR. So temporarily disabled the phone part of the verification.

Have you rent phone number from twilio by personal deposit, not bonus? Look logs on una and twilio account!
-
No Im on a trial with them at the moment

You need to have twillio acount this is important we implement this in our customized email login security
-
Near 20 usd deposit slove your problem! On trial you cant send sms to other number - none your white list number by manual edit*.
-
So does the 2FA send a code every time you login or how often?
-
Every time. I think about Google authenticator app for example.

If you enable 2FA and setup Twilio then it will send 1 SMS to a new account for confirmation. No login with SMS everytime.
-
Leonid, 2FA doesn't work on my website. I have done everything to the best of my knowledge but nothing works. I once complained about this to you right and you told me to wait for UNA 11

Hello Kelvin30286063 !
First of all, you need to check the content of logs/Twilio.log file. Then you need to check the meaning of the trouble in Twilio errors list.
For example, from the recently known trouble, we found:
1) logs/Twilio.log has the message
"Unable to create record: The From phone number [phone number] is not a valid, SMS-capable inbound phone number or short code for your account."
2) this Twilio error was linked with this one
-
I know when I turned it on it asked me to confirm my number but if it doesn’t do it with frequency then it’s not what I would consider 2FA.
-
Ok so I got the Twilio number and set it up and tested it with my account and it worked. I had someone else go to test it and they get that message "ERROR OCCURRED" - what could be going wrong and yes I personally verified they were entering the phone number correctly.
-
So what info you have in the logs/Twilio.log file?
-
Ok so I purchased a number and it worked when I confirmed my number but in the logs it’s saying I need to purchase a number from twilio. I’m attaching verification that it did work for me.

It migth be the old message. Try to clean the mentioned file and check the new membe's registration. After this porcess check the log file again.
