AWS Storage

Is UNA only able to work with the Amazon AWS for external storage? Is there a guide outlining the processing of switching from local storage to AWS?

    • Hi Michael,
For AWS you need to start from the very beginning, it will not be possible to transfer your local storage to S3 later.
Yes UNA can use the object storages that has the same standarts AWS S3. I used with DigitalOcean Spaces.
if you want to use S3 storage like a mounted file system you may check objectivefs .

      • Hi guys!

Without this link the answer isn't full :-)

        • So LeonidS by looking over your link it looks like you are able to change to object storage but there are some specific steps you need to perform, would that be correct? If not and not knowing this limitation up front it could be a serious situation for me. I plan to grow to at least 5 million members in 3 years or less and how I am setup I doubt that number could be obtained. My next question in line with this one would be regarding all the steps I need to perform to ensure that MySQL and other other aspects of the UNA to make sure I can facilitate that many members. Please let me know.

          • Hi Cem,

Did you use DigitalOcean for the UNA hosting and AWS for hot storage? I'm looking at using DigitalOcean but don't know what type of dedicated server is best ... I'm thinking memory optimized. What do you suggest?

            • My advice - AWS for hot storage
