Resolved - How to Delete Apps in UNA 12.b.1

Hi all,

on UNA 11.X on the Launcher you could disable an App and then Click the Magic want and X the App to delete it.

In 12. Beta how is this done? from my launcher page Apps Library I see nothing but if I click the Dashboard and then the Launcher Apps Icon I see apps in a small window.

Here Apps Library is empty.

From the Dashboard or any apps setting page There are four little squares on the left that also opens the Apps Library in a small window.

However there is not option to delete the Apps.

Am I missing something obvious.

      • yeah.. normally..  but if you looked at my screen shots. I don't have that. Launcher shows NO apps

        • image_transcoder.php?o=bx_froala_image&h=4438&dpx=1&t=1610027105There was an app that was not compatible with version 12 so I manually removed it and now the launcher is back as it should be. Thanks Jerome Mingo

Please ensure that modules you purchase and install on version 12 are compatible to prevent unintended issues.

          • This is an interesting question. One we can only be left to wonder about. Where is this new method of app deletion/re-install documented? Obviously something as changed in UNA 12.

When you "manually removed it", did you also remove the tables in the database?

            • Yes I used the disable and the uninstall sql queries from the module's install folder and ran them on the db. then deleted the folder. I don't recommend this method as a routine as there my some unintended consequences.  In this case it worked for me.

              • In studio there is an account menu icon option "Manage Apps" that allows you to disable app and then delete it. You have to go to Apps Market>Purchases and download the app again then go to Downloads and install again.
That is a good question. If an app/mod get corrupted it looks as if the only way for the average site admin is to disable and then delete it. Past experience resulted in all additional data lost and fresh install creates new tables. In the several cases the error has always been a SQL error and presume associated tables were corrupted. Unless you or someone else has good sql skills to try to correct the errors or able to import the tables in question from a previous sql backup, re-install is the other option.
