Need member selected visability for profile icon, instead of inheriting profile visibility

My members would like the ability to independently control the visibility of their profile icon, instead of it inheriting profile visibility. It seems as though my members don't want to be just another white letter on a colored background to those that cannot view their entire profile.

Seems like a reasonable request to me.
