Configurable groups

Hello,

Sometimes users want to create a group just for the "feed" functionality or for publishing blogs or in order to have a small dedicated forum, or sometimes for all these functionalities.

Would it be possible to have configurable groups, where it would for example be possible to activate a forum and the blog functionality, but not the album ? How could this work ? On the "create group form", the creator could simply turn on/off the options (as long as the corresponding apps are activated in studio of course) and configure his group :
activate a forum ? ON/OFF
activate blogging ? ON/OFF
activate albums ? ON/OFF
...

Maybe this idea could also be interesting for organization profils.

Thank you.

    • Hello Miroslav !

By default, it's impossible - all groups have the same set of sections. And if someone joins to the group with the forum only later he may ask: "Why we haven't the possibility to post albums?". Smth like that.

        Thanks for your reply.

I know it is impossible today, this is just a suggestion to allow group creators to reduce the number of sections because certain groups will never use forums for example. An other usage could be the ability for site operators to allow creation of "premium" groups with extra sections (forum, posts, wiki, ....) for specific profile levels (access to the premium features would be set in studio/group creation form).
