Protean unable to upload or edit fields

When I go to click on the upload for BG image for the protean template or any of the css colors, etc. it does not do anything in multiple browsers. Uploads work in all other areas of the site, just not when editing templates. None of the fields can be clicked or changed even after uninstalled and reinstalling theme. I also tried the other themes and same thing. Anyone who had similar issues and resolved? 

Solved-- Clone theme and then edit.
