Changing Mobile App Loading indicator for first load on app start Up

 In mobile app build, i would like to change the loading indicator for first load. It's boring to see just the default circle ⭕ loading indicator due to slow load time on mobile start up.

For, instance, i would like to have loading indicator for first load on mobile app, I see in source code, it has to do with errorpage.js file, but how do i go about this change. See attached video on the change I want to effect.

      • To change loading screen when app loads for the first time you need to change the following line in App.js file:

        renderLoading={() => <View style={styles.webviewFirstLoad}><ActivityIndicator size="large" color={useTheme('colors.activityIndicator')} style={styles.webviewFirstLoadIndicator} /></View>}

            TO something like this:

            renderLoading={() => <View style={styles.webviewFirstLoad}><Image source={require('./img/some.gif')} /></View>}

                    • To make animated gifs to work on Android some additional modifications are needed according to this:
                      https://reactnative.dev/docs/0.62/image#gif-and-webp-support-on-android
