Side Menu Configuration
Is there a way to make the header slide menu slide out from the side vertically instead of top horizontally?

Are you talking about the sub-menu? In Groups, Person and Organization modules? Or are you talking about the site navigation menu at the top of the page?

If you have the challenges with the menus the it would better try another template. Much less work in this case.

@RJ Arsenault the site navigation menu at the top of the page.. I designed the around the current template, just hoping for a vertical menu for when people are on mobile they can use the site with one hand... seems many people like the convenience of one-handed usage
