We have added ACL action for Paid Join in UNA 12.0.2, now in UNA 12.0.1 it's as separate setting in Groups module settings.

What are the situations where you would use a paid membership for a Group?

Also the large Landscape Oriented Image for Groups doesn't work well on Mobile. How do we change our groups to a more Mobile friendly layout.

https://una.io/m/messenger/archive/196666 - could you please send screenshot of what is happening ? also it's better to do it in forums, thank you.

If a member subscribed for a month paid membership and he cancels subscription on next month, upon expiration of subscription, will the member be automatically removed from the group?
Stephen-Mystic Inam
Also will pricing be supported for other context module like space, event and courses?

Thank you! :)

I'm representing an NPO and members pay for their yearly subscription (paid levels mod). I find that new payment option very useful for situations, when our paying members want to share something of value to non-paying community visitors, as you said, Andrew, for events or courses & classes. So, my paying members need to have the option to decide what content they would like to sell. For events it will be a one-time payment only for non-paying members, in our case. What about our provision from paid content for generating money on the community platform? 😉 I recall that there exists a mod for provisions, right? Cheers, thomlin

Just tried it on online.me. My question: will the Pay & Join system be able to distinguish between community members on a yearly subscrption plan (who will not have to pay extra) and standard users (who will have to pay for joining a group, event, etc.)? I am still a little confused...
Stephen-Mystic Inam
@thomlin it's important to note that group based subscription (run by group admin) and site subscription (run by site admin) are quite different and independent subscriptions

For paid contents/media, we would probably await aqb module which existed on dolphin and perhaps there's plan for paid contents via file module, hopefully, we can have these in nearest future, we'll see 😎

https://una.io/m/messenger/archive/196691 - Stephen is right - users will still be the same on the site, but inside the Group users can be different, especially if you assign different roles to them.

@Stephen-Mystic Inam thank you for that clarification.

Hi Andrew and Alex T. Awesome idea! I love it. It will help users to monetize their groups and be more engaged with the UNA site. Please, I have some feature requests:

1) The ability for the users to accept payments through site credits or points system. Then the Group organizer can request to withdraw his/her earning (in money) to the UNA site Admin.

2) The ability to be refunded.

3) The ability for the UNA site Admin to set a commission rate/fee (percentage of commission) on every successful payment to join a paid group.

4) The ability to add a free trial period before payment.

Thanks😊
