Just wondering. While I was signing up with gab, in order to dump big tech social media, as a way to get the word out on our site I noticed that the urls in the box at bottom left of browser included amazon.aws. I hope gab is not using that service like parler was or they will be next.

It is a lot easier to take down a site of 1,000,000 than 1,000 sites of 1000.

That's exactly right. Also a lot more likely to abuse the power. Same reason why supermarkets are bad if they force small businesses out. We all end up eating same strawberries, even if they are toxic. And not because they're the best strawberries, but because those are the ones that make most profit for the supermarket.

I think the issue Mantze is having is he wasn't just hosted on AWS, rather Parler was built on AWS proprietary software, so when they shut him down they kept the script, all he could get was his DB at best out of them. Which is why it wasn't a simple move the site.
At this stage I'd be surprised if Boonex wasn't reaching to Mantze to help offer him an overall solution to his problem.
