How much time the translation takes? And some tricks :)

Yes I almost finish the Turkish translation. As I did a community specific translation I will not publish it as an app.
Here is some feedback.
It took 3 days of light work.
My recommendation is to use Bluefish editor to edit the en.xml files. Because with Bluefish while you are editing one file you can replace the words also in the other files even though they are not open. You just mention the target folder.
Becareful not to break the code while doing replace. Take backups of the original copies.

Either replace whole translation block like this :

<![CDATA[Edit Group]]>

Or if you want to translate the Edits or Groups in all modules at once try like this
<![CDATA[Edit
Group]]>

If you replace only the words alone like Edit or Group you will break the code! Also make case sensitive replace.
Then upload the xml files to site, but before uploading rename the originals do not overwrite them.
Go to Studio >> Developer >> Polyglot click on restore language to the module you uploaded.
Go to you site check the module`s functions and translations. You should see the results of the translation on the site and you will want to change many things.
To change things go Studio >> Polyglot and edit the keys.
