Swapping the design gives 502 Error

When changing the template to Ocean, Decorous, or Lucid getting 502 Error.  Site is using the Protean template as default. 

The desire to change the template is driven by the preference of the user.  Some prefer a dark theme others a light theme.  This also helps when it comes accessibility of the site (appleinsider.com) and with color blind users. Would be great if a template could have switchable mixes controlled by the user, this way the layout would be the same but the color scheme could be adjusted to suit the users needs.

      Do these "problem" templates (Ocean, Decorous, or Lucid) have all files from their packages? Also, it would be helpful to shows us the error log messages from the moment of the template's switching.

        I assume all files are present and correct as I can set the any of the templates as default and the site loads.  Looking at the logs in the log directory I am not able to see any entries for today.  Is there a specific file I can send you?

        • Yes, I need to look at actual error_log. Usually, it locates in public_html folder of your server or in the same directory as public_html (but different server may have different names for "public_html").
