Profile Page

I cannot set the /page/view-persons-profile?id= xx to members only view for the profile picture and cover.  I can turn the cover off and it shows up for unauthorized users.  If they are signed in the cover is turned off. I running a beta test with a couple of hundred users and I have had to shut the site down. You end up with project destroyed before you even start.

I need to restrict view of the page to users who have accounts.  All other pages don't show this behavior.

Any ideas.

    • Hello Philip Poremba !

May you please describe your way of closing cover for guests? By default, the cover doesn't depend from the permissions levels. You may also send me the access details via Messenger to check directly in your site.

      • Missed your response by 2 hours. I was sleeping.  Please get back to me as soon as possible.  I have the site turned off - maintenance mode.  I have to tell the site owners and another developer if the project needs to be scratched and reset.

        • A programmer I work with was able to apply a temporary patch.  I need a permanent fix for the issue.   This occurs on all four sites I have set up for testing.  No matter what your visibility settings are for /page/view-persons-profile?id=xxx, the profile image, and the cover are displayed.  Interesting enough - /page/persons-profile-info?id=xxx, persons-profile-friends?profile_id=xxx plus following etc - pages with the same header setup with the profile cover and image - visibility matches the settings selected for the pages.   Looks like a but to me - but, if that is way the app is designed - an estimate for the hours required to customize the code so /page/view-persons-profile?id=xxx acts like  /page/persons-profile-info?id=xxx and etc.  We are in beta testing for a dating site and we would like to use UNA - if possible.  Privacy is a big deal to us.

          Thanks

          • i am quite confused is both an privacy or a privacy and optimization?

            • Privacy is and was the main concern.  Anyone can see user profile images, cover images, and name (usually, but not always, a nickname).  The site operator needs to know that as do users.  They may not want the data posted all over the web - which could happen.

              • As we agreed about "hard-closed" profile content for unauthorized users can be reached only via the code changes. The standard UNA limits (Permissions and Pages) don't allow to hide profile name, cover and avatar not for blocks.

                • Got it and thanks for the help.
