      • Actually I noticed the same thing in the block "Create a post (public)", before I had the list of choices, but since rc1 I think I do not have it any more.

        • So you only have the option to public?

          • Yes, it's a member who pointed it out to me.

            • Interesting, i had many visibility options before the upgrade on 9.0.1

                • Go to the link provided, that is just crazy.  The person that thought that was a good idea should be sacked.

                  • It works as it should now. We actually were missing one type of Create Post block. Depending on the type of site you are configuring (ie Facebook vs Twitter) you choose the type of post block.

                    • To clarify I’m copying Anton rely with some comments:

Since RC2, there are 3 different 'Create Post' blocks:
                      1. Create Post (Public) - which can be used on home page with Public Timeline. This create post form allows to create Public posts only.

                      2. Create Post (Context) - can be used on context pages like, View Person/Organization profile, View Group/Event/Space page. This post form doesn't allow to select Privacy at all, because in this case post is created in the context (profile, group, etc).

                      3. Create Post - is a general post form which allows to change privacy as you want. You may create public post, post available for friends only or even create it in some context.

——— Create Post form is a combo block that pulls all content creation forms that are linked from “Add Content“ menu. Similar to, say, Facebook‘s post form whet you can choose simple post or Album, etc ———

You may notice that Timeline has exactly the same post blocks:

                      1. Post to Public Feed - for Public Timeline on Home page.

                      2. Post to Context Feed - for Profile Timeline on view profile/context pages.

                      3. Post to Feed - for Dashboard Timeline.

——— Timeline has its own “Post to...” form which only posts timeline updates (aka “shares”, similar to Twits), so this form is preferable for sites using Timeline as the only content posting module.

Note that if Timeline is not installed, Create Post fo can still be used.

                      — Both forms have 3 variations - Public only (for sites like twitter where users are not meant to select privacy), normal (where privacy can be selected) and Context-specific (the form that forces posted content to inherit privacy of the context where the form is placed - group, event, profile, etc).
